On December 14, 2016, our Heavenly Father opened his arms and accepted Kevin Gordon Ruh (born February 18, 1989) into Heaven.
Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Nathan F. Ruh, his grandfather, Gordon Flory and the Love of his Life, Victoria Voohries.
He is survived by his grandmother, Dot Flory; his mother, Sharon Flory Reine, who will miss his hugs; his step-father, Louis Reine, who will miss his friendship; his brothers, Austin Ruh and Brandon Ruh; his step-brother, Curtis Reine; his step-sister, Renee Reine; his sister-in-law, Jaimee Ruh; his nephew, Grant Conway and dear to his heart nephew, Evan Ruh; his nieces, Avery, London and Zoe Reine, and special niece, Jaycelyn Reine, and special sidekick, Sarge. Kevin leaves behind a number of first and second cousins and most recently enjoyed spending time with his cousin Mallory. He also leaves a host of friends, as he never met a stranger.
He truly loved to visit with people, experience life, explore new places, cook and try exotic foods. As the holder of a CDL, when Baton Rouge was really Hollywood South, Kevin enjoyed driving for the movie studios. Kevin was a "jack of all trades" and the handyman that was called upon most frequently by close family and friends. He was always there to lend a hand when he could. He was quick to smile, had a heartwarming laugh and a twinkle in his pretty blue eyes.
Visitation will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 11441 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 9:30am until Mass at 11:00am. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
Family and friends are encouraged to sign the online guestbook or leave a personal note to the family at www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.
