BATON ROUGE, Louisiana. Kevin Howard Dawson, a native of Clarksburg, West Virginia died at his home on April 1, 2014. He was 61 years old. He was a graduate of Washington Irving High School, Fairmont State College and West Virginia University. He received his MSIR degree in Industrial and Safety Relations from WVU, where he was inducted into the Industrial Relations Honor Society, and he received an MS degree in Safety Management from WVU. He was employed as a safety manager and health, safety, and environmental consultant with a number of firms over the years, in New Jersey, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana. He served with the United States Air Force. He is predeceased by his father, Ralph Worthington Dawson and mother Frankie Lee Howard Dawson, his brother, Eric S. Dawson, and two sisters, Marsha D. Peasak and Melissa J. Knicely. He is survived by his sister Brenda L. Dawson and her husband John F. Bolter of Baton Rouge, LA and by his nephew and wife, Michael A. and Katelyn D. Urso of Benson, Arizona, and by his niece Caroline J. Bolter of Culver City, CA. A private service was held on April 3, 2014 at Resthaven Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.
