Kenney Riley

Kenney Leo Riley, age 76, of Gonzales, LA, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017.

Kenney received his undergraduate degree from LSU in 1963 and he graduated from LSU Law School in 1967. He practiced law in Baton Rouge for 15 years, then worked as an attorney for Hartford Insurance and as a senior attorney in charge of the Baton Rouge/Lafayette offices for Hartford. He ended his professional career in San Antonio, Texas, as claims litigation manager in the Hartford office. Kenney enjoyed playing soccer, refereeing soccer and football, and playing golf. One of the highlights of his golfing days was making a "hole in one".

Kenney is survived by his wife, Sandra Chance Riley; his children, William Chance Riley and wife Reesha, Jonathan Kendall Riley and wife Amanda, and Michael David Riley and wife Aimee; his grandchildren, Austin, Jaedon, Sophia, Madelyn, William Joseph, Brianna, William Chance (Liam) Riley, Stephen, Angela, Kayla Buchanan, Jymi, and Julia Reyes; and his great-granddaughter, Emma Reyes.

He is preceded in death by his father, William Amos Riley; his mother, Dorothy Kenney Riley; his brother, William Amos Riley, Jr.; and his granddaughter, Kelsie Lynne Riley.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 8:30am until funeral services at 11:00am. Burial will immediately follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Austin Riley, Jaedon Riley, Jymi Reyes, James Kenney, Chris Kenney, and Kevin Daigle.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kenney's name to his church, River Church South, P.O. Box 847, Gonzales, LA 70737.

The family would like to express their appreciation to the Hospice of Baton Rouge with a special "thank you" to Nurse Dawn and to all the friends and River Church South family who have been praying for Kenney during his illness.
