Kenneth Moberly Sr.
Our beloved husband, father, and paw paw Ken Moberly Sr. passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. Ken was a servant of God during his time with us, as his passion was helping family and friends with any and all needs. His impact on each of our lives is immeasurable and his loss has sent ripples far and wide to anyone who has knew him. He was born on April 12, 1940 in Lexington, KY to Gilbert and MaryLou Moberly, he was one of five children.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Shanon Bryan Moberly; mother-in-law, Margaret Alexander; Children, Michael Moberly and wife Kathy, Marsha and husband Larry Redmond, Dana and husband Jay Gulledge, Kenneth Moberly, Jr., Danita and husband Michael Fitts, MariLee and husband Mark Stephens, and David Moberly and wife Ruby; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Darrel Moberly; niece Carol Sue McGoldrick; and nephews Eric and Kevin. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harold and Wilbur Moberly; and sister, Mildred McGoldrick.
Ken served in the Army. Ken owned and operated Foreign Car Repair then Moberly's Foreign Car Repair for 40 years. He was also a Notary Public and commissioned KY Colonel since 1972. Ken was also a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 24th, 2015 beginning at 1PM at Grande Pavilion, 14210 Airline Hwy., Gonzales, LA 70737. Donations to the Baton Rouge Food Bank or St. Judes can be made in lieu of flowers.
