On May 1, 2012 our Lord called home our sweet Kelli Leigh Richmond of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to be with him. Kelli was surrounded by the love and comfort of her parents, sister, aunts, and cousins at her home when she entered her eternal rest. A celebration of Kellis life will be held at 1:00 Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the First United Methodist Church, North Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA with a visitation with the family afterwards. Kelli, age 30, was a 2000 Honor graduate of Parkview Baptist High School and a 2004 graduate of LSU. She worked at Louisiana Public Broadcasting while at LSU and then moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue her dream of performing PR in the fashion industry. She accomplished that dream by doing PR for a large clothing line in Los Angeles. After working there for a few years she decided to move home to Baton Rouge where she was employed as Development Manager for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis foundation in Baton Rouge and she was an active member of First United Methodist Church. Kelli loved to spend time with her family and friends, watch her TV shows, help encourage and inspire others, travel and she loved her LSU baseball and Coach Mainieri. Kellis sweet spirit and vibrant personality touched the lives of so many people and she spent her last two years as a spokesperson alerting women to the risk of ovarian cancer. Our Kel Bels attitude and outlook on life and her determination were an absolute wonder and amazement to all who came in contact with her. She was a true inspiration to her family, friends, and to those she met or who heard her speak. Her messages to others forever changed the attitude of all who had the pleasure to be in her presence. Kelli had so many wonderful friends from all walks of life who took time out of their daily lives to share and spend with her during the last two and a half year battle with cancer. Kellis Christian faith never waivered she knew her Lord would take care of her. The Lord is my strength and my shield my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped therefore my heart greatly rejoices, Psalms 28:7.
