Our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at the age of 83. Kay was born on August 28, 1935 in Houston, Texas and was a resident of Baton Rouge. She was devoted to her large and loving family of 7 children, 16 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren with another on the way. She was proud of her family, and her family was proud to call her "Mama Kay."
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Alex "Ace" Sulik; her son Alex "Chip" Sulik; and her brother, Jay Durham Peterson.
She is survived by her brother, William Thomas Peterson, Jr.; sister-in-law, Virginia "Ginney" Kunze; her children, Ron and Cinde Sulik Broussard, Scott and Joan Sulik, Andy Sulik, Jerry and Dayna Sulik, Joseph and Karen Sulik, Lauren Sulik, David and Ashley Sulik; her grandchildren, Christopher Bordes, Scott Sulik Jr., Stacie and Brent Kerul, Sandy Sulik, Eric and Shelly Sulik, Samantha and Larry Giamanco, William Luke, Madeline Luke, Ashley and Zach Scogin, Shannon Sulik, Jeremy Sulik, Kristina Sulik, Kelsey Sulik, Brandon Sulik, Austin Sulik, and Parker Sulik; and her great-grandchildren, Emmett Kerul and Tanner Sulik.
Visitation will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Highway, on Friday, September 21 from 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. A procession to Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Highway, will immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a mass be said in her memory.
