Kathy Ann Hebert Mercer, a resident of Baton Rouge and native of Pierre Part, passed away on October 23, 2016. Kathy had a deep love for Christ and shared her faith with everyone she knew. She attended church, bible study and even created her own vacation bible school for neighborhood kids. Her strong will, unwavering faith in God, and the love and prayers of family and friends carried her through many years of suffering with chronic health issues.
Kathy is survived by her daughters Taffie Autry and husband Rusty, Kim Wyble and husband Joseph, son Tim Mercer and wife Michelle. She is also survived by her sisters Mary Cavalier and husband Eddie, Ida Hebert and husband Glen, brothers Alton Hebert, Jr. and wife Judy, Andrew Hebert and wife Iva, Dale Hebert and wife Amy, grandchildren Rachel Autry, Nathan Autry, Hannah Autry, Daphne Wyble, Trey Mercer, Peyton Mercer, Hallie Mercer and Reece Mercer and former spouse, Gary Mercer. She is preceded in death by son Nathan Mercer, brothers Billy Hebert and Patrick Hebert, mother Hazel Hebert and father Alton Hebert.
All services to be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., Baton Rouge, LA 70816, on Friday, October 28, 2016, visitation at 12pm and memorial at 2pm. Burial to follow immediately after Memorial.
The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who came to visit Kathy on her last days. She was truly comforted by your presence.
