Kathryn Watson

February 12, 1947 — September 30, 2011

With a strong and abiding faith in God, she went home Friday, Sept. 30, 2011. She had been a patient at Kindred Hospital in Houston following complications from a lung transplant on June 19, 2011. Gail was born in Dallas on Feb. 12, 1947, raised in Metairie, and at the time of her death, a resident of Picayune, Miss. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Hunt Cathey and Ima Clardy Cathey sister, Carol Colleen Cathey Green brotherinlaw, John Wesley Green III nephew, Wesley Hunt Green and greatniece, MacKenzie Colleen Eason. Gail is survived by her husband, Robert Jean Watson, of Picayune, Miss. sister, Vicki Jean Cathey Keel and husband James Wesley Keel, of Houston nieces, Tracy Lee Bowling and husband Chris, Leslie Faye Boyle and husband Brendan, Erin Colleen Eason and husband Daryl, and Jennifer Jean Green step nephew, Kevin James Keel and stepchildren, Jennifer Elise Zemanek, John Joseph Watson and Sean Paul Watson and greatnieces and greatnephews, Cayleen and Brandt Green, Will and Brooke Bowling, Riley, Brady and Collin Eason, and Ella and Evan Boyle. Nani will be dearly missed by Tori Gail and Ana Elise Daniels, Zoe Dee Zemanek and Savannah Grace Watson and her sisterinlaw, Persis Watson Daniels and husband David. Gail graduated from LSU Baton Rouge and was a member of ZTA sorority, DAR and UDC. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Picayune and active in Bible study classes. Gail had a zest for life and deep love for her family and friends. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile and funloving laugh. She enjoyed traveling, reading and caring for her cats. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 in the morning of Monday, the 3rd of October at Roselawn Memorial Park, 4045 North St. A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 in the morning on Wednesday, the 5th of October, at First United Methodist Church, 323 N. Haugh Ave. Picayune. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to First United Methodist Church of Picayune, 323 N. Haugh Ave. Picayune, MS 39466, 601 7984321.
