Kathleen Bowman

Kathleen Voinche Bowman, a native of Donaldsonville and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away at her home on August 10, 2021 at the age of 98, just 2 months shy of her 99th birthday.

Kathleen enjoyed dancing, world traveling, oil painting, interior design, and her most favorite thing…her grandchildren.  She was also a longtime member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Kathy Bowman, and Stephen Bowman and wife Roxane; grandchildren, Stephanie Brown and husband Kenny and Allison Beck and husband Evin; great-granddaughter, Adeline Beck; sister, Charlotte Guinn and husband Carroll.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney D. Bowman; parents, Dewey J. Voinche, Sr. and Dora Richard Voinche Stokes; and brothers, Dewey J. Voinche, Jr. and Richard H. Voinche.

Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. until Funeral Service at 2:30 p.m.  Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Special thanks to her caregivers at Fidelis Homecare Group, and Compassus Hospice.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, or charity of your choice.  Guest are invited to wear something red, Kathleen’s favorite color; and asked to comply with indoor masking requirement.
