Katherine B. Elkins

She has been blessed for 99 wonderful years.

The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Katherine B. Elkins, who was a native of Graysona, AR and a resident of Greenwell Springs, LA, passed away on March 29, 2015.

She greatly enjoyed quilting and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Katherine was a member of Indian Mound Baptist Church.

Katherine is survived by her children, Nell E. Pratt and husband Randal, and Billie E. Darbonne; grandchildren, Nicole Pratt Norwood and husband Keith, Shawn R. Pratt and wife Ashlee, and John Ashley Darbonne; great-grandchildren, Austin Norwood and Fiancé BaylieTrahan, Lauren Katherine Norwood, Krislyn Pratt, and Belle Anderson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Rose Buckley; husband, Williard W. Elkins, son, Lieutenant Colonel Donald W. Elkins; one brother; and three sisters.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, LA, from 12:00 PM until funeral service at 2:00 PM. Services will be officiated by Jim Efferson.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
