Karen �½Kay�½ Finlay-Rabalais, a native of Pennsylvania, and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2015. She was 53 years old, born on June 27, 1961.
Kay was very compassionate about volunteering, especially at St. Michael High School and Most Blessed Sacrament School, where she won the Mother Seton Award.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie Rabalais; sons, Jeremy Rabalais and wife Stephanie, Josh Rabalais, Evan Rabalais, and Noah Rabalais; granddaughter, Hailie Rabalais; mother, Lois Finlay; brother, Steve Finlay and wife Michelle; niece and nephew, Brittany and Scott Frazier; uncles, Wayne Miller and wife Marleen, Richard Finlay and wife Alice, and James Furry and wife Mary Ann; and numerous cousins.
Kay is preceded in death by her father, Robert Harold Finlay; son, Nick Rabalais; and uncle, Ronald Furry.
The family requests that visitation hours be observed on Sunday, June 7, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highways, Baton Rouge, LA 70816, from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
A second visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home, from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 PM and take place at Most Blessed Sacrament, 15615 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, officiated by Father Phil Spano.
Interment will take place at Greenoaks Memorial Park 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The American Cancer Society, 10528 Kentshire Ct, Baton Rouge, LA 70810.
