A resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 7:21 a.m. Monday, Nov. 26, 2007, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 60 and a native of New Orleans. Visiting at House of Hope, 16273 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, Nov. 28, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting resumes Thursday from 8:30 a.m. until service at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Steve Chadwick. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by her husband, Danny McRae Sr., of Baton Rouge; daughter, Kelly L. Callahan, of Baton Rouge; stepdaughter, Laurie J. McRae Shepardson, of Dallas; son, Leon S. Taranto, of Baton Rouge; stepson, Danny McRae Jr. and wife Tracy, of Denham Springs; sister, Denise Buckley and husband Paul, of Pensacola, Fla.; two brothers, Dennis Tujague and wife Peggy, of Moreau, and Stephen Tujague Sr. and wife Lucy, of Covington; grandchild, Tracy Taranto; and great-grandchild, Gabriella Taranto; brother-in-law, Michael McRae and wife Dorothy, of Baker; and friends, nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents, Leon S. Sr. and Doris J. LeBlanc Tujague; and brother, Leon S. Tujague Jr. She was a member of House of Hope, a founding member of the Down Syndrome Awareness Group and an active member of Circle Civitans. The family wants to give a special thanks to Charmaine Neptune, Darlene Knight, Sheila Robinson and the staff at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to Circle Civitans, 14614 Breton Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70816.
