"The Lord is my shepherd" Psalm 23
Karen Anne Kling, beloved daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away on October 25, 2017, at the age of 66. Karen was born in Baton Rouge, LA where she resided most of her adult life. She obtained her Bachelor's degree at Louisiana State University and began her professional career as a teacher in East Baton Rouge Parish. Her heart then led her to the profession of social work and she gained her Masters in that field, also from Louisiana State University. Karen was an avid world traveler and thoroughly enjoyed her many trips as well as theatre performances with friends. She was such a blessing to her family and friends. She will be missed dearly and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.
Karen is survived by her father, Robert Al Kling, Jr.; two sisters, Kim Kling, and Karla Kling Lindsly; a brother and sister-in-law, Kerry and Carol Kling; nieces and nephews, Amy and Steve Swick, Ben and Amy Kling, Michael and Kristin Kling, and Chad Joseph Lindsly; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Edna Martin Kling.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Saturday, October 28, 2017, from 10:00am until funeral services at 11:30am. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
