Kammer Joseph LeMieux Vignes, 20, passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. He was born in New Iberia, La. on January 29, 1995.
Kammer loved spending time outdoors and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was most happy spending time with friends and loved playing golf or throwing the Frisbee. Kammer had a smile that would light up a room and was charming and witty. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Kammer is survived by his step-mother Juan Li Vignes; sisters Lydia Waite and husband David, Ilaine Upton and Jean Vignes; brother Chaobin Fang; aunt Carol Henderson and husband Warren and their children Michael and Emily; uncle David LeMieux and wife Dianne and their children Renee and J. Masson; uncle Dr. and Mrs. E. Victor Vignes, Sr.; cousins David and Judy Henderson and Christian J. Brown; nieces Dr. Sarah Waite and husband Kyle, Camille Beck and husband Kirk; other relatives and numerous friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dr. John Todd Vignes and Kerrie Marie LeMieux; grandmother Ruth David LeMieux and brother John Valentine "Val" Vignes II. Pallbearers will be J. Masson LeMieux, Michael J. Henderson, Christian J. Brown, Kyle Owens, Chaobin Fang and Kirk Beck.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy., on Sunday, December 27, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and will resume at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 2025 Stuart Ave., on Monday, December 28, 2015 from 9 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.
Interment will be in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to LSU Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) or any charity for addiction.
