June Tait

June 12, 1934 — June 14, 2022

On her wedding anniversary June E. Tait of 88 years began to pass peacefully in her sleep.  She joined our Savior Jesus and her husband, Glenn, in heaven at 3:30 A.M. Tuesday June 14, 2022.

June was a native of Illinois, lived in the states of Louisiana and Texas.  She was valedictorian, graduating one year early from high school.  June lived a life of giving to others before taking care of herself.  Early on June was a member of the WCTU, Women’s Christian Temperance Union.  Through the years, she served as Sunday School Secretary, Church treasurer and organist.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.  June was a homemaker and bookkeeper throughout her working years, serving faithfully in the Free Methodist and Nazarene Churches; and, in her last years was a member of First Baptist of Pearland.

June is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Susan and Mark Hembree, Margo and David Johnson, sister Mary Lee; 5 grandchildren, Wesley, Luke and wife Nora, Rebekah, Robert, Marla and husband John; 3 great-grandchildren Calynn, Giselle and Rayne. June was proceeded in death by her parents Harold and Alma Wolfe and brother Wesley.  June will be interred in Baton Rouge, LA., beside her husband Glenn of 61 years .  Please visit www.resthavenbatonrouge.com.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to https://www.samaritanspurse.org/medical/world-medical-mission/ or https://act.alz.org/site/Donation2?df_id=32112&32112.donation=form1 .
