Julliet A. Lowrance

December 29, 1924 — September 20, 2024

Baton Rouge, Louisiana

Julliet A. Lowrance, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2024, at the age of 99. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Born December 29, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Alice Bourgeois and E.J. Arceneaux. She was a longtime resident of Baton Rouge and a member of St. Pius the X and St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church.

She graduated from St. Charles High School and then studied Education at Louisiana State University. She worked in administration at Standard Oil for many years before marrying the love of her life Burns Lowrance. They raised their family of three boys in Baton Rouge and she loved being a Cub Scout Den Mother.

Julliet loved spending time with her family and friends. She loved going to the casino and many vacations with her church friends. She even hiked to the top of the mountain, Peaks of Otter in Virginia, in the rain when she was 80 years old! Julliet loved to take her morning walks in Cortana Mall and always said her walks kept her young. She enjoyed reading romance novels, and always made sure when she visited her family and friends' homes they had the Hallmark Channel on for her.

She had a way of making everyone around her laugh and feel loved. She will be deeply missed, but we take comfort in knowing she is at peace in her Heavenly home with our Lord, joining her husband, son, and many family and friends who passed before her.

Julliet is survived by her sons John Lowrance, Henry Lowrance, and David Lowrance (Lisa), her six granddaughters Jessica Dugas (Ben), Dianna Singleton (Johnny), Nicole Falgout (Trent), Jadyn LaBauve (Damian), Mia Lowrance, and Olivia Lowrance and one grandson Jarrod Lowrance (Hailey), and her five great-grandchildren, Bennett Dugas, Reyna Dugas, Anthony Victor, Harper Lowrance and Juliette Falgout.

She is preceded in death by her parents Alice Bourgeois and E.J. Arceneaux, her husband Burns Lowrance, her son Richard Edward Lowrance, her best friends Ethel Robinson, Gladys Courville, and Corinne M. Trahan and great-granddaughter Hazel Marcelline Dugas.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church, 3808 St. Gerard Avenue in Baton Rouge.
