Julius "Papa Jack" Carl Dyer, Jr., 85, went to be with his Lord peacefully on February 7, 2017 at his home in St Francisville, Louisiana.
Jack graduated from Louisiana State University School of Engineering. After, he served as a 1st Lieutenant in the U.S. Army, he returned to Baton Rouge and started Dyer and Moody Consulting Engineering Company. In 1971, an encounter with a man dying of cancer, led to a bible study that grew into Dove Park Church of God. In Honduras, he was the overseer for the Church of God, Honduran director for Friends of the Americas and a bush pilot for World Relief during the refugee crisis. He taught pastors, mentored young people, and advocated for those in need. In India, Jack managed the construction of Tibetan refugee housing and the refurbishing of Woodstock School buildings and mentored young Tibetan men. His motivation in life was to love and serve his Lord with all his heart, mind and soul.
