Julius “Jay” Aronstein, Jr., a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at the age of 87. He was a devoted and loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He was a 1960 graduate of the first accredited class of the LSU School of Landscape Architecture, a lifetime member of the American Planning Association and American Institute of City Planners, an active member of the Lions Club in Montgomery, AL, and St. James Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, LA. Jay was an avid LSU Tiger fan!
Jay is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Adrienne Aronstein; daughter, Courtney Aronstein Klebowski (Jeff Klebowski); son, Christopher Aronstein (William Whatley); and grandsons, Zachary and Andrew Klebowski.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julius Aronstein, and mother Clarice McCrea Aronstein.
Visitation will be held at St. James Episcopal Church, 205 N. 4th Street, Baton Rouge, LA 70802, on Saturday, December 21, 2024 from 8:30 a.m. until Funeral Service at 9:30 a.m. Interment will take place at 1:00 p.m. at Natchez City Cemetery in Natchez, MS.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to St. James Episcopal Church, Music Club of Baton Rouge, or Cleveland Clinic.
