Julio L. Morales, resident of Baton Rouge, passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023, just five days shy of his 96th birthday. He was born in Naguado, Puerto Rico. He enlisted into the United States Airforce during World War II and retired after twenty-five years of service to his country, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. Following his military career, he retired from K&B Drugs after 20 years of service. He was a Mason and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Julio was a man of Faith; he was devoted to his Lord, his country and most of all his family. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His other great joys were gardening and playing dominos.
Julio is survived by his children; Carmen Eschette (Allen) and Juan Morales (Kathleen); his daughter-in-law, Jolynn Morales; his grandchildren, Julie Wussler, Kristy Hesskamp, Jaime Eschette, John Morales, Kelly LeFevre (Charles), Joshua Morales (Johanna), Justin Morales and Jenna Morales; and his fourteen great-grandchildren, Jacob, Luke, Cole, Kaitlyn, Soryn, Rex, Harvey, Louis, Catherine, Lannah, Angelle, Bella, Justin II, and Katerina; siblings, Richard, Dario, and Maria.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Dorris Morales; son, Bruce Morales; parents, Dario and Jacinta Morales; siblings, Carmen, Mike, and Juanita.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Baton Rouge, LA on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Services will begin at 11:00 am with burial to follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Julio’s name to Wounded Warrior Project and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
