Jude Leon "J.L." Juneau, age 80, passed away on November 4, 2016 surrounded by his family members.
J.L. was born on April 19, 1936 to Oscar Juneau and Laura Belle Ducote Juneau. He loved to fish, hunt and spend time with his family. He served in the United States Army and retired after a long career at Exxon.
He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Loyda Jeansonne Juneau; his children, Dwight and wife Sheila Juneau, Kenta and husband Greg Mancuso, Marty and wife Belinda Juneau, Jody and wife Cassie Juneau, Jeremy and wife Krystal Juneau, Luke and wife Nicki Juneau, and son-in-law, Dr. Michael Quinn; his 24 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Marvin Juneau, Richard Juneau and wife Mary, Carl Juneau and wife Sharon; his sister, MaryAnn Coco and husband Alton; his sister-in-law, Adrine Franks and husband Bobby; and brother-in-law, Arlyn Jeansonne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Juneau and Laura Ducote Juneau, a daughter, Laura Juneau Quinn; and 2 sister-in-laws, Mona Juneau and Elaine Jeansonne.
Visitation will be held at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Road, Greenwell Springs, LA on Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at 9:30 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am celebrated by Reverend Michael J. Moroney. Burial at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Dammers at The NeuroMedical Center, Dr. Michael Rolfsen at the Baton Rouge Clinic, Dr. Kevin Callerame and the staff of Our Lady of the Lake Hospital for their kindness during his illness.
