Juanita Bridges

She was born on November 23, 1923 in Atlanta, Georgia. She was the daughter of Grace Coleman Drumm and Laurence S. Drumm. She died on November 15, 2011 in Baton Rouge. Juanita was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Harry L. Bridges, and by her granddaughter, Kendall Bridges Stafford. Juanita was a talented artist and poet. She and her husband, Harry, loved to travel and traveled all over the world. She and Harry lived in New Orleans and in Amelia Island, Florida before making their final home in Baton Rouge. She is survived by her daughter, Bonny Bridge Stafford and her husband, Curtis Kaywald Stafford Jr. her granddaughter, Kimberly Johnson Kennedy, and her husband, Michael Kennedy and her three children, Murphy Johnson, Cecile Johnson and Rosemary Johnson, her granddaughter, Paige Stafford Lohman and her husband, Glen Lohman and their two children, Sam Lohman and Susannah Lohman and by her grandson, Zachary Davis Stafford and his wife, Kristin Nelson Stafford and their three children, Nelson Stafford, Emerson Stafford and Ryland Stafford. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Sunrise Assisted living and Clarity Hospice. A graveside service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 11am in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
