A supervisor for UPS and a resident of Denham Springs, he died Monday, March 24, 2008. He was 36 and a native of Brownsville, Texas. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, March 27, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. Visiting at St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Friday from 9 a.m. until Mass at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Tom Ranzino, celebrant. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Tracy Sims Martinez; father and mother, Juan and Celina Martinez, Brownsville; son, Jude Alexander Martinez; four sisters, Celina Blackmon and husband David, Ana Martinez, Rachel Withers, and Carmela Delgado and husband David; and nephews, Zachary, Jacob and Luke Blackmon, Nathan Withers and Vincent Delgado. He leaves behind his best friend and loving wife and their precious miracle, 4-month-old Jude. Pallbearers will be Tad's lifelong friends. He was a graduate of the University of Texas in San Antonio. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 5, 2008, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Brownsville.
