Joyce Runfalo Valenti

Joyce Runfalo Valenti beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at the age of 94, surrounded by the love of her five children. Joyce was born on Saturday, August 3, 1929, in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Joyce was a devout Catholic and a woman of unwavering faith and dedication to her family. Her life was defined by her love, honesty, and compassion, leaving an indelible mark on all those fortunate enough to have known her.  She loved gardening, her beautiful flowers, and was a pro at finding the best bargains in town. 

Joyce is preceded in death by her beloved husband, John Valenti, infant daughter Lynette and her parents Catherine Clemente Runfalo and Peter Runfalo.

Joyce is survived by her daughters Kathleen Morales (Juan), Suzanne Jackson (Dwight), Joy Valenti, and Johnette Turner (Steve); her son John A. Valenti (Julie); her grandchildren John Morales, Kelly LeFevre (Charles), Jill Congemi (Chris), and Grant Turner; and her great-grandchildren Jackson Congemi, Cullen Congemi, Rex LeFevre, Harvey LeFevre, Louis LeFevre, and Catherine LeFevre.

Visitation will take place at St. George Catholic Church, 7808 St. George Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70809, on Friday, October 27, 2023 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, 70816.
