Joyce Williams

Joyce was born in Wilkinson County, MS on April 30, 1929 to the late Carrol and Josephine Smith. She passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on November 8, 2022.

Throughout her life, Joyce impacted many young lives as a teacher and daycare provider. She was an active member at Broadmoor Methodist Church, and she never missed an opportunity to play bridge.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Williams. She is survived by her children Carrol Stewart Williams (Deborah Williams); Teresa Williams Breedlove (Rick Breedlove); Beverly Williams Tuminello (Leonard Siler); grandchildren Chad Hotard (Lauren Benz), Drew Tuminello (Cassie Tuminello), Layne Hotard (Phil Novak), and Michelle Ourso (Nick Ourso); great-grandchildren Natalie Tuminello, Lilly Ourso, Harlan Benz-Hotard, and Nolan Tuminello; sisters, Lela Warren of Texas and Mary Elizabeth Chaffin of Mississippi and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held from 10 AM to 12 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022 at Broadmoor United Methodist Church, 10230 Mollylea Dr, Baton Rouge followed by a funeral service beginning at 12 PM. Interment at Resthaven Garden of Memories. Memorial donations may be directed to Broadmoor Methodist Church.
