Joyce Ann Lynch

Joyce Ann (Pfost) Lynch, age 71, a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital. She is now in God's loving embrace.

Joyce was born in Seville, OH, on September 18, 1943. She graduated from Ripley High School in Ripley, WV. Joyce worked as a sales clerk for K & B Drugs, which later changed to Rite-Aid, where she retired from after over 25 years of service. She attended Florida Blvd. Baptist Church and was baptized on August 11, 2012. Joyce dearly loved spending time with friends. She also loved to visit antique shops, gardening, and collecting teapots and cat figurines.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl R. Curry and her husband, Brian, Stephanie A. Smith and her husband, Nathan; son, Richard W. Lynch, Jr. and his wife, Krystal; step-daughter, Donna Higgins and her husband, Tom; sister, Maxine Smith; brother, Richard Pfost; and 16 grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Foster D. Pfost and Leona Casto; brother, Carl "Gene" Pfost; sister, Freda M. Crabtree; and grandson, Jordyn Blayze Lynch.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2015, at 2:00 PM, at Resthaven Gardens of Memory and Funeral Home.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
