Joyce Dietrick

Joyce Mary Pellegrin Dietrick, 77, passed away peacefully in her Baton Rouge, Louisiana home on December 26, 2023.  Joyce was born January 2,1946, to Murphy Pellegrin and Clothilde Blanchard Pellegrin of Houma, Louisiana.  She was a devoted homemaker and devout follower of our Lord and Savior, volunteering her time at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church and its surrounding community.  Joyce will be remembered most for the love and kindness she shared and the memories she’s made in the hearts of all who knew her.  

Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Daniel John Dietrick, Sr. and parents, Murphy and Clothilde Pellegrin; brothers, Donald Pellegrin, Robert Pellegrin, Ernest Pellegrin and Merlin Pelegrin; and sister, Mary Ann Babin (Murphy).

She is survived by her daughters, Mary Champagne (Jason) and Elizabeth Dietrick; her sons, Daniel Dietrick, Jr. (Rebecca) and Joseph Dietrick; her grandchildren, Jacob T. Champagne, Jolie M. Champagne, Sierra Lauramore, Annabell Lauramore, Brittany Long (DJ) and Daniel Dietrick, III; great-grandson, Hudson Long; brother, Murphy Pellegrin, Jr.; sister, Lois Charpetier (Charles); and several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to invite you to a public visitation held on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 15615 Jefferson Hwy. in Baton Rouge at 10:30 a.m. until Mass at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to the Most Blessed Sacrament Building Fund.
