Joy Martinez

Joy D. Jones Martinez, age 80, who was a native of McCall Creek, MS and a resident of Praireville, LA passed away on March 16, 2015.

She was an active member of New Life Church for many years. Joy was also the Deli Manager at Super Fresh Grocery Store and worked there for 17 years.

Joy is survived by her son, David J. Martinez and wife Maris; daughter, Deborah Smith Lee; grandchildren, Morgan Stevens and husband Cass, Jeff Martinez and wife Malise and Brady Martinez; great-grandchildren, Kate, Carter, Madeline and Paige Stevens and Leo Martinez; sisters, Elaine Martinez and Edna Evans.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Melinda Jones; three sisters and three brothers.

The family request that visiting hours be observed on Friday, March 20, 2015 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway from 10:00 am until funeral service at 1:00 pm.

Interment will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
