A resident of Baton Rouge and a native of McComb, Miss., she passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2009, at her daughter and son-in-law's home. She was 93. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, April 20, from noon until service at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Frank Bass. Entombment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory Mausoleum. Survived by a daughter, Stephanie Felder and husband Michael; a sister, Pauline Fortenberry and husband Charlie; a brother, Louis DiStefano; two grandchildren, Tracy Marie Stanton and husband Sean, and Christy Lynn Loflin and husband Tommy; five great-grandchildren, Christian Everett Joseph Stanton, Reece Joseph Loflin, Sydney Marie Stanton, Jackson Guy Loflin and Emma Catherine Stanton; a dearly beloved niece, Cathy Catalano; and other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her loving husband of 52 years, Joseph P. Oliveri; two sisters, Frances Catalano and Mary Laine; a brother, Johnny DiStefano; and her parents, Vincent DiStefano and Pauline Pasalaqua. She was a member of the Garden Club and she loved spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
