Joseph Richard, Sr.

February 25, 1922 — June 1, 2011

A native of Church Pointe, La. and a resident of Woodville, Ms, he passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, Ms. He was 89 years old and Marine Corps. veteran. Visitation will be at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Saturday, June 4th from 9am until a Rosary at 12:30pm with a service at 1pm. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. He is survived by his sons, Joe Richard Jr and wife, Kermit Remi Richard Mark Richard and Gerald Richard grandchildren, Rosalind Willard, Rachelle Richard, Ashleigh Mayfield, Ryan Richard, Matt Richard, Anthony Richard, Caroline Richard, Clay Richard, Rhett Richard, Gabby McIntyre and Eric Richard sisters, Ethylene Flores, Flo Duplechain and Geraldine Brown brothers, Gustave F. Richard and Frank Richard and numerous great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella Boudreaux Richard a son, Carroll Douglas Richard parents, Arville and Rose Richard brothers Noah and Hilman Richard sisters, Helen Richard, Lelia Thibodeaux, Irene Broussard and Louise Richard. He was an avid hunter and the first distributors of Savoies Sausage Company.
