Joseph "Tio" Scott Radtke, Jr.

Joseph “Tio” Scott Radtke, Jr. passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2024, at the age of 51. He was born on October 9, 1972, in Washington, DC, to Joseph Scott Radtke, Sr. and Barbara Jean Morris. Joe had an immense love for cars, which led to his career as a certified automotive mechanic and painter. His passions were his race car and his motorcycle. He loved to drive fast and feel free! Joe enjoyed fishing and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay when he lived in Southern Maryland. He lived in many places as he traveled and worked throughout the US, but he always wanted to return to his happy place in Southern Maryland. 

Joe is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, John and Geraldine DeGroot; his paternal grandparents, Mary Maddox and Irving Radtke; his uncle, Gary Radtke; and his cousin, John F. Hile. He is survived by his parents; his daughter, Britney Beall; his sister, April C. Radtke; his grandchildren, Brystol and Laine Beall; his nieces, Keeonna Holland, Deja Fitzgerald, Nevaeh Donald, and Milani Johnson; his nephew, Douglas Johnson, Jr.; his second nieces, Ava and Ayayah; his second nephew, Julian; his aunt, Debbie Gildeleon; his uncle, John C. DeGroot; and his cousin, Lisa Charlton.

The family would like to give special thanks to Joe’s loving and supportive family and friends from his hometown of Maryland, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana.

Services for Joe will be held at a later date in his hometown of Maryland.
