A retired Seagrams Corp. employee with 18 years of service and a resident of Denham Springs, he died at 5:45 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2008, at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. He was 85, a native of St. Amant and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He served as a Seabee in the 83rd Battalion in the Pacific and China. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Tuesday, Aug. 12, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Survived by his wife, Elizabeth B. LeBlanc; daughter, Carol and husband Steve McCallum; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Janice Le Blanc and Chris and Stacy LeBlanc; and eight grandchildren, Ashley Dunn and husband Peter, Allison LeBlanc, Ben McCallum, Lauren McCallum, Kathryn McCallum, Chase LeBlanc, Amanda LeBlanc and Brooke LeBlanc. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph V. Sr. and Angeline Landry LeBlanc; sister, Ruth Ledet; and brother, Arthur LeBlanc. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs, American Legion, Knights of Columbus, state commander of the Seabee Veterans of America Island x1 in Baton Rouge. He was a volunteer for many years at the Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson.
