Joseph Anthony Giacone Joe, a native of Baton Rouge, passed away Friday, August 3 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital at age 81. He is a retired carpenter and Korean War Veteran. Joseph is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Ann Santangelo Giacone four daughters and sonsinlaw, Debra and Steve Weber, Jo Marie and Randy Haddad, Lena Moran, and Loretta and Mark Scardina nine grandchildren seven greatgrandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary Giacone six sisters and six brothers. Visitation will be held at St. Louis King of France on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Pallbearers will be Steven Weber, Brandon Haddad, Justin Haddad, JV Fresina, Charles Anthony Fresina and Robert Fresina. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mandy Hoffman, Elise Moran, Amy Moran, Katie Scardina, Samantha Scardina and Jessica Scardina. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Joe loved gardening, LSU baseball, and the Yankees. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him.
