Joseph Fuhr Iii

Joseph Booth Fuhr III, a native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and a resident of Denham Springs for the past 16 years, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2012 at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital following a short illness. Mr. Fuhr was a retired civil structural designer and moved to Baton Rouge 18 years ago. He began his career as a Jr draftsman at age 19 at Bechtel Power Corporation in Gaithersburn, MD in 1972. He worked for Brown and Root Engineers in Mobile, Alabama prior moving to Baton Rouge in 1994. He was employed at Ford Bacon and Davis, Englobal Engineers. At the time of his retirement, he was a contract employee at JE Jacobs Engineering. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway on Friday, November 16, 2012 from 5 pm to 8 pm with a memorial service at 6:30 pm conducted by Deacon Brent Duplessis. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Connie Fuhr sons, Mark Fuhr and Joey Fuhr grandson, Peyton James Fuhr. He is preceded by his parents, Joseph Booth Fuhr, Jr. and Margarete Rau Fuhr. The family would like to express their gratitude to all of their family and friends in Baton Rouge for their outpouring of love, kindness and generosity.
