Retired founder of COCA Sales Inc., he died at 11:55 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2009, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 80 and a native of Independence. There will be an entombment service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 14, in the mausoleum at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, conducted by the Rev. Howard Hall. Survived by his wife, Jacqueline Plaisance Cappe; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl C. and Dennis Mouch; two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger L. and Yvonne Cappe, and Christopher A. and Julie F. Cappe; six stepchildren and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and cousins. Preceded in death by his first wife, Marguerite A. Capdau Cappe; an infant son, Michelle Rene Cappe; and parents, Adella Kersh Clark and Joseph A. Cappe Sr. He was a member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.
