A retired patent attorney, he died Tuesday, Nov. 25, 2008, at his home in Baton Rouge. He was 50, a native of New Orleans and a U.S. Air Force veteran. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, Dec. 1, from 9 a.m. until memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m. Survived by his mother, Jewel Dowling Breaux, and father, Gerald J. Breaux Sr., both of New Orleans; sister, Debra B. Kern, New Orleans; two brothers, Gerald J. Jr. and Robert P. Breaux, both of New Orleans; former wife, Pamela Ashman; stepson, Matthew Ashman; three nieces, Stephanie Keen, Sunny Breaux and Sarah Breaux; and his dogs, Bisquet and Barbi. He attended the University of New Orleans and was a graduate of the LSU School of Law. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association, 4962-402 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
