"The story of life is quicker than the blink of an eye; the story of love is hello and goodbye until we meet again."
Joseph "Joey" Arthur Boudreau, Jr., 57, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, peacefully passed away on August 9, 2017 at 12:48 a.m. while embraced in the arms of his loving wife of 27 years, Teri Suarez Boudreau. He adored his 3 caring daughters more than life itself, Jordan Michele Boudreau (Timothy Losavio), Julia Anne Boudreau, and London Marie Boudreau. Left to cherish beautiful memories are his brother and best friend, Richard "Dicky" Boudreau (Connie Boudreau), his sisters, Elizabeth Jenkins, Lynn Gautreau (Todd Gautreau), Lisa Pike (Ronny Pike), his mother, Carole Boudreau, and in-laws, Philip "Fee" and Elvena "Butsy" Suarez, along with many nieces, nephews and dear friends who offered tremendous love and support during his illness.
He is preceded in death by his father, Joseph A. Boudreau, Sr.
Joey was as special as his leap year birthday of February 29, 1960. On a wing and a prayer, he opened his own company, D&B Sales and Recovery, Inc., in 1993 and enjoyed a successful career in the pipe industry. He was a kind and generous soul who enjoyed bragging on his kids, playing Pickleball, a lucky night at the craps table, cruising the neighborhood on his riding lawnmower in search of grass to cut, dinner dates with his wife and close friends, special adventures with his "bro team", listening to his Willie Nelson playlist, and living life in the moment.
