Joseph "Gary" Bizette

Joseph “Gary” Bizette passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at the age of 89. He was born June 22, 1935, in Rougon, Louisiana to Stewart and Rena Bizette. Gary received his bachelor's degree in Geology from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps. 

He is preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Patricia Ann Bizette; their son Dr. Greg Alan Bizette and his wife, Ann; and their beloved grandchildren Breanne Catherine Bizette and Grant Patrick Bizette.

Gary was a longtime parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, playing racquet ball, running and watching football. Gary was a devoted family man, who will always be remembered for his strong work ethic and sense of humor. We will cherish the memories made for a lifetime.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Lane in Baton Rouge. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. and on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at the church beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
