Josef Hughes, Sr.

Josef Kevin Hughes Sr. a native of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at his home in Franklinton, LA on Tuesday, July 31, 2018 at the age of 54 after a brief battle with cancer.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne Shepherd Hughes; his children, Thomas Hughes and his wife Jeri Ann Hughes, Josef Hughes, Jr., and Tina Harvey; his mother, Barbara Wolfe Hughes; grandchildren, Alyssa LeBlanc, Gideon, Anne Marie and Ariana Hughes; his siblings, Carrol C. "Bunky" Hughes Jr. and wife Merrill, Susan Hughes McKenzie and husband Bobby, and Martha Hughes Smith and husband Bill; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Carrol C. Hughes, Sr.

Visitation with be on Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Resthaven Funeral Home, Baton Rouge from 12pm until funeral service at 2pm. Burial to follow immediately in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Hughes, Chris Hughes, Matthew Hughes, Nicholas Hughes, Chase Smith, Daniel Smith, Bunky Hughes, Bobby McKenzie, and Bill Smith.
