Jose N. German, a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away on Friday, September 13th, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on November 20, 1944, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic to Jose Santiago German Montero and Rosa Candida Pimentel German.
Jose attended Louisiana State University earning a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in 1968 and a masters in Nuclear Engineering. With over forty years in industry as a professional engineer, Jose spent most of his career with Walk Haydel & Associates, where he retired as a Vice President. After retiring, Jose continued to practice engineering as a consultant with CDI and various other companies globally. He enjoyed tinkering with electronics and spending time with his family, as well as being a strong father figure to many of his friends and family. Jose was also a parishioner of St. Jude The Apostle Catholic Church where he served as an usher.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his son, Karl German; and his siblings, Eva Espinal and Mary Delgado.
Jose is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theresa Comeaux German; his son, Joseph “Joe” German and wife, Stephanie; his grandchildren, Hailey Law and Hannah LeBlanc; his great-grandchild Wesley Leblanc; and his siblings, Josepe German, Luis German, Fernando German, Tony German, Pedro German, and Fifa Kissinger.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, Baton Rouge, on Monday, September 16, 2024, from 9:30 am until Funeral Services at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
