Johnny Reed Luneau III (Trey), a resident of Prairieville, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, January 7, 2019 at the age of 15 at his home. He was born in Dallas, TX on July 15, 2003. Trey was a sophomore at Dutchtown High School and had planned on continuing his education at LSU.
Trey leaves to cherish his memories by his parents, Johnny Reed Luneau Jr. (Sarah) of Prairieville, LA and Lori (Doug) Coles of Baton Rouge, half-brother and sisters, Peyton Luneau of Baton Rouge, LA, Austin Cope of Baton Rouge, LA and Summer (Carlos) Castro of Cherry Point, NC, grandparents, Johnny and Barbara Luneau of St Francisville, LA, Sylvia Durio of Prairieville, LA, Dave and Kathy Graff of Juneau, WI and Mary Coles of Baton Rouge, aunt and uncle, Philip and Erica Robillard, cousins, Juliana and Phoebe Robillard, niece, Aubree Castro, and nephew, Caden Castro.
Trey was an avid hunter and saltwater fisherman. He was a devoted LSU fan and enjoyed tailgating and attending LSU football games. Trey enjoyed going to the beach, snowboarding and playing video games.
Trey will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him. He was the kind of young man that anyone would be proud to call son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend. Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Thursday, January 10th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at Healing Place Church on Highland Road on Friday, January 11th from 12:30 until funeral services at 1:30 p.m. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory & Funeral Home in Baton Rouge.
Pallbearers will be Philip Robillard, Darrin Luneau, Austin Cope, Rodney Magee, Nolan Anderson & Scott Terry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Peyton Luneau and Summer Castro.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the family to assist adolescents with mental health issues in Trey Luneau’s name.
