John Henry Wright, age 95, and a resident of Prairieville, Louisiana, passed away peacefully in his home on Wednesday, November 13, 2024.

His was a familiar voice to many residents and office workers who enjoyed his delicious chips, cookies, and other treats. John didn’t slow down when he retired either, even installing a pond and building a deck, well into his seventies.
John is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Flavia Rochester Wright, their daughters Sylvia Simmers and Jonette Leckelt and her husband, Keith, grandchildren Sylvia Jean Buatt, Turner John Ogden Simmers, and Christopher Edward Buatt, and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Asa Orlando Wright and Helen Walters Wright, and siblings Richard Wright, Robert Wright, Betty Wright, June Wright Adams, and Dorothy Wright Golson.
