John Joseph Morgan passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Sunday, April 30, surrounded by his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Sally Toups Morgan; and his children, Dr. John Morgan Jr. and his wife Linda, Patricia Morgan, Julie Moore and husband Scott, Stephen Richardson and wife Sharon, and Patrick Richardson and wife Michelle. A loving grandfather, John is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Joshua Morgan, Jeffery Morgan, Brian Morgan, Bryson LeJeune Richardson, Connor Richardson and Landon Richardson.
John was a man of incredible strength, spirit, integrity, and unshakeable faith in God. Those who knew him well as a son of New Orleans, knew his love for good times and adventures, close friendships and family, as well as he and Sally's joy in motoryachcting. John had an illustrious 50 year career in the electrical contracting and engineering industry as owner of Lakeway Electric, followed by another 10 years in the healthcare industry as CEO of Regions Behavioral Health.
The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to John Hopkins University Medical team for their great care of John that added years to his life that he and Sally enjoyed together. Their marriage was one in a million, a true fairytale.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Thursday, May 4, 2017 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Visitation will resume on Friday May 5, 2017 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 44450 LA-429, St Amant, LA from 9:15 am until Mass at 11:00 am.
