John Meek

John Gordon Meek, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, passed away on September 21, 2017, at the age of 47.

John attended St. Luke's, Episcopal High, Istrouma Middle Magnet, Scotlandville Engineering Magnet High School, and LSU; he was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. He enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes, entertaining his friends, and most of all he enjoyed his dog Buddy.

He is survived by his father Ted Meek; his mother, Rosemarie Patterson and husband Bob; his siblings Brian Meek, Meghan Poole and husband Lamar, and Marianne Hodges; and his aunt, Renee Coxe Payne and husband Greg. He is also survived by his beloved dog Buddy, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.

John is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Dawn Meek; his grandparents, Edie and Gordon Meek, and John and Rosalie McAnally.

A graveside service will be held at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, LA, on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM.

Pallbearers will be Brian Meek, Ted Meek, Lamar Poole, Greg Payne, David Stickney, and Chad Broussard.
