John Russell Lindau (Johnny), a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away from a brief illness on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at the age of 32.
Johnny was born on February 7, 1985. He was a "Lifer" at Christian Life Academy from grades K-12 and the valedictorian of the Class of 2003. Throughout his years at CLA he won numerous awards and was most proud of his math achievements. He went on to receive a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from LSU in 2013. Johnny enjoyed his brief career and was a valuable employee.
He is survived by parents, Dr. Charles W. and Karen Cook Lindau; sister, Dr. Amberly Lindau Nunez and her husband Dr. Charles Nunez, Jr.; niece, Ellie Lynette Nunez, who was the pride and joy of his life; Uncles and Aunts, Michael and Joni Cook, Donald and Patricia Cook, James and Marcia Lindau, and Thomas Lindau; and numerous cousins.
Johnny is preceded in death by grandparents, Thomas D. and Doris Lynette Cook, Ora F. and Zelma Mae Lindau.
Visitation will be held at Resthaven Funeral Home on Thursday, October 26, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until funeral service at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Dr. Jere Mellili.
Johnny was a friend to everyone and helped whenever he could. He had the kindest, gentlest soul.
