John Landry

John Landry passed away on November, 11, 2017 at the age of 80.

John was a veteran of the Marine Corp who passed away on Veteran's Day. He was a graduate of Redemptorist High class of 1955, State Boxing Champion in 1953, and a retired business man. John and Julie enjoyed spending time at their camp on False River, and loved entertaining friends and family. John was a kind and generous person to everyone.

John is survived by his wife, Julie Holmes Landry; his children and their spouses, Geri Lynn LeBlanc, Kim and Freddie Blanchard, Roger Landry and Missy Daigre; his grandchildren, Gregory LeBlanc, Alex LeBlanc, Hannah Samaha, Taylor LeBlanc, Johnny LeBlanc, Matt Regira, Caleb Hebert, Addison Landry, Elizabeth Smiley, Ronald Smiley, Lindsey LeBlanc, Lacey LeBlanc; his siblings and their spouses, Ronald Landry, Thomas and Marlyn Landry, Patrick and Gretchen Landry, Judy and Roy Nelms, Rita Mabel and Kenneth Malone, Sister Lorraine Landry, SSND; and numerous great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Lazard and Ida Landry; and his stepchildren, Sherri Smiley LeBlanc, and Kenneth John Smiley.

Visitation will be at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 from 11:00 am until funeral services at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
