John Joseph Corne', age 80, passed away on Sept. 4, 2021 after a battle with COVID. Johnny was born on July 23, 1941 in New Orleans. He was living in Saint Bernard Parish until Hurricane Katrina in 2005 when he relocated to Baton Rouge. He was a veteran who served in the US Airforce for four years. He worked in the oil recycling field and owned his own business Black Gold Oil Service. Johnny loved bowling, dining out especially for breakfast, going to the movies, and horse racing. He was a big fan of Tulane Greenwave and the New Orleans Saints.
John was survived by his wife of 46 years Joan Traina Corne'; son Clayton Joseph Corne', daughter in law Florencia Balbon Corne', and grandson Clayton Balbon Corne'; sisters, Bertha North, Betty Neel, and Angie Doyle. He was preceded in death by his parents John Joseph Corne' and Sarah Geraci Corne; brothers, Jules "Butch" and Angelo; sisters, Jeane "Tookie" Waites and Rita Wade. And, numerous nieces and nephews.
The family has decided against a funeral service due to Hurricane Ida and COVID 19.
