Joseph "Sonny" Braud

Joseph R. Braud “Sonny” passed Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the age of 95.  Joseph was a U.S. military veteran of WWII, retired from Gulf States Utilities Company, and loved to play golf.  He was preceded in death by his son, David Braud; granddaughter, Roxanne Braud; grandson, Jarrod Braud.  He is survived by his wife Emily Braud; sons Michael Braud, Terry Braud, Steve Braud; daughter-law, Joy Braud; sister-in law, Doris Davis; grandchildren: Taylor Braud, Jason Braud, Kristen Braud Cole, Raymond Braud, Lorraine Braud, Michelle Pitre; and nine great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at Resthaven Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
