Joecile Diez

Joecile Elizabeth Annabelle Moran Diez, born on November 16,1948 in New Orleans, passed away Friday, June 23, 2017 at her home in Baton Rouge.

Joecile is a graduate of Woodlawn High School. She attended Southeastern Louisiana University and retired from the Baton Rouge Clerk of Courts Office.

Joecile is survived by her husband, Louis Douglas Diez of Baton Rouge; her brother, Fred and wife, Mary Moran of Greensburg; her daughter, Amy Elizabeth McCormick of Walker; her son, Matthew Douglas and wife, Jessica Diez of Baton Rouge; her daughter, Robyn Danielle Diez of Metairie; five grandchildren: Nathan Wayne Graffia, Isabella Danielle Nagy, David Augustine Diez, Ada Marie Diez, and Ruby Danielle Diez.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Gloria Hand, and her father, Fred Hobart Moran Sr. both from the New Orleans area; and her daughter, Emilie Marie McCormick.

Visiting hours will take place at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Hwy, Baton Rouge, on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 from 10:00 am until funeral services at 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.

Pallbearers will be John Moran, Matt Diez, Corey Crossman, Nathan Graffia, Keith Bastin, Barry Bastin; honorary pallbearer Fred Moran.

Joecile was a very loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be missed.
