Jimmy Lofland

Jimmy Jack Lofland was born on November 24, 1940 in Dallas, Texas.  He passed away on May 8, 2022 at the age of 81. Born and raised in Texas, Jimmy graduated from Rockwall High School and then graduated from the University of Texas in Mechanical Engineering.  Jimmy was the proud husband to his wife, Sarah “Sally” of 54 years.  Together they raised three sons Jeffrey, Jason (Michelle), and Jeremy (Megan.) Jimmy was “Paw-Paw” to his five grandchildren Jackson, Claire, Emma, Aiden and Joseph. Jimmy retired from Shell Oil in 2002 and has enjoyed being with family, traveling, and his lifelong hobby of model railroading. Jimmy enjoyed taking trips by train, vacationing in the Rocky Mountains, and hosting family cookouts.  Jimmy is survived by his brother, Eddie (Carolyn) and is preceded in death by his parents Jim and Edna Lofland of Rockwall, Texas.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at Broadmoor United Methodist Church on Monday, May 16, 2022 with a visitation from 10-11am and the service from 11am-12pm.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Broadmoor United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice.
