Jimmie "Wayne" Watson

Jimmie “Wayne” Watson returned home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 24, 2023, at the age of 84 years. Wayne was born on February 4, 1939, to Edward Lee and Clifford “Lucille” Watson. He was an avid outdoorsman and a talented woodworker. His family cherishes and enjoys the items he handcrafted out of wood he collected himself. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corp.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Karen LiRocchi Watson; his son, Rev. Tim Watson; his grandchildren, Kelly Baker and her husband Travis, Taylor Watson, and Karson Watson; and his great-grandchildren, Ruby Keller Baker and Caroline Yiannopoulos.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave, Baton Rouge, at 10:00 AM. A visitation will be held at the church prior to the service beginning at 9:00 AM.
